Mr. Shiraz Ali

Shiraz is CEO of FinTech (Finzo), AFS’ wholly owned FinTech subsidiary, which oversees the company’s FinTech business and ahead-of-the-curve digital payments solutions. Shiraz joined AFS in 2008, bringing more than 17 years of payments industry leadership, expertise and executive management experience. He is leading AFS’ FinTech subsidiary (Finzo) and its flagship products – digital mobile wallet apps: bwallet (Bahrain) and eFloos (Oman) and Al Rateb (Bahrain’s first digital payroll solution).

Shiraz has previously spoken at a variety of leading industry events across the GCC including the Seamless Middle East conference and exhibition, University of Bahrain, Takaud Savings & Pensions B.S.C (c) and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). Shiraz’s expertise includes business strategy, P&L management, product development (in particular mobile payments and digital wallets) and ecosystem development. Shiraz holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi and B.E. (CS) from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan. He also holds CIA, CISA and CRMA certifications.
